Tags are a useful tool for adding a level of organization and connection to web content. Generally, adding a tag results in creating a link that, when clicked, will lead to more content with the same tag, on your own site (with WordPress) or across a site (with Twitter).
But adding tags varies depending on the system:
- On Twitter, you add a tag by simply using the pound sign (#, aka hash, aka octothorp) followed by a word in the text of your Tweet. See: Twitter Tag Help
- In WordPress you use the tag panel in the post editor when you are creating or editing a post. See help on WordPress tags.
You can use as many tags you want as long as you use those required by an assignment and the “nousion” tag where appropriate on Twitter!
