Every summer at about this time I learn that a few students have not looked ahead in Collection I and planned their time accordingly to get the Your Choice assignments done on time!
The effort needed for Collection I is intentionally light, to allow you to get your publishing and communication channels established and to get used to the combination of scheduled and unscheduled time. But even in this collection it is unwise to wait too long to work on Your Choice activities,
And remember: even with the simplest assignments, this is a graduate class and while I want to keep things as fun(ish) as possible, I still expect graduate-level effort and composition.
You all are doing great so far!
PS. Occasionally things I ask you to do might seem redundant. I promise you there is a reason for that. If, at any point, you find yourself asking “why do I have to do this thing”— just ask! No one likes engaging in pointless make-work, including myself!
